On patch 16.21, Tryndamere is rated B tier in the top lane, winning 50.1% of 3,340 ranked games with a 3.4% pick rate. The most successful build this patch runs Hail of Blades with Exhaust and Flash and builds Infinity Edge, Ravenous Hydra, Phantom Dancer, and Berserker's Greaves.
Tryndamere struggles most against Warwick (35.1%), Singed (40%), and Teemo (40.7%) and does best against Zaahen (76%), K'Sante (71.4%), and Shen (65.5%).

Playing as Tryndamere
- Delaying the activation of Undying Rage is a very effective way to make an enemy champion over-commit to trying to kill you.
- Bloodlust is an excellent way to heal Tryndamere. Try not to let it fade off before you activate it.
- If the enemy is stacking Armor, try building items like Last Whisper or Youmuu's Ghostblade.
Playing against Tryndamere
- Try harassing Tryndamere early so he can't kill minions and heal with Bloodlust.
- Remember, Tryndamere can only slow you if you are facing away from him.
- Most of Tryndamere's damage is physical. If he's getting too strong, consider buying a Thornmail.

Tryndamere gains Fury for each attack, critical strike, and killing blow he makes. Fury passively increases his Critical Strike Chance and can be consumed with his Bloodlust spell.
QBloodlust
Tryndamere thrives on the thrills of combat, increasing his Attack Damage as he is more and more wounded. He can cast Bloodlust to consume his Fury and heal himself.
